Yoga Etiquette

  • All students must sign in at the front desk even if you registered online for class.

  • New students should arrive 15 minutes prior to their first class.

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of class. All classes have a 5 minute late grace period, but please enter as quietly as possible so as not to disrupt anyone.

  • Please remove your shoes and place them in the shoe cubbies before entering the Yoga studios.

  • Please hang your jackets up in the back by the changing rooms.

  • Turn all cell phones to OFF (not vibrate) before entering class.

  • When class is in progress, please keep your voices down while waiting in the reception area.

  • When entering the studio space, please enter quietly and avoid dropping your yoga props as to not disturb others. Also, try to keep conversations before class as quiet as possible.

  • Our Yoga mats are considered our personal space, please avoid stepping on anyone else's mat.

  • If a class is beginning to fill up, please be kind enough to move your mat & props if possible and make space for our fellow Yogis as everyone should feel welcome. It also helps to stagger the mats a bit.

  • PLEASE, place props neatly back where you found them after class. Place blankets on the shelves fringe side in, eye pillows & yoga straps are to be placed in baskets provided, kindly stack the blocks & bolsters on the shelves, and dirty towels & rental mats are to be left in the basket by the front, so they can be cleaned for the next use.

  • No eating or chewing gum in class.

  • Please observe basic hygiene when attending class.

  • Refrain from wearing perfumes and oils, as many people are senstive to smell and/or allergic.

  • Let your yoga teacher know of any injuries or conditions that may affect your practice.
